  • Thursday Thirteen:

    Today, thirteen random things

    1.  I just finished the Harry Potter book. I am a slow reader. and I had to wait for a book to be available. Jason gave me his book when he was done.
    2.  I miss skating a lot. I do not skate in summer for various reasons.
    3. When Blizzie and I went shopping (mentioned about two weeks ago)  we each bought two pairs of shooz and I got some new jeans that do not look so bad (they are not cut so low they fall off my butt).
    4.  Chrystabelle is still living with her boyfriend, Jason, 4 miles away in the cute apartment. It is okay. yes, I can think of positive and negatives about this. Worse things could be happening in my life. This is not a biggie for me. They are both brilliant college graduates and have very good jobs. This is their decision, not mine… so there are no consequences for me.
    5. video chat last night: Caesar and I (and Princess) were the only ones home.
    6.  I am getting a package today in the mail.
    7.  I do not remember what #7 is.
    8.  Blizzie goes to back to college in one month. She is considering transferring to either Wheaton, in Ill, or Dickinson, in PeeAy. She will do Spring 08 semester at Wheaton.
    9.  Caesar and Prinnie: they are the most wonderful old kitties. I am giving Caesar subq’s every day. He is okay with it. He gets a teaspoon of baby food chicken afterward. He looks forward to that. I put the jar right in front of his cute little black nose. Princess… we had some struggles in the beginning, trying to figure out what worked for her. Now i just collect her from her napping spot and place her in the round little cat bed with the sides, and she sort of curls into a little shrimpie shape and endures. She is very brave for a kitty that does not like being handled unwillingly.
    10.  we might sell the house in January, if we can get rid of a third of our garbage and pack up the rest…. depends on the housing market.
    11.  Blizzie and I went to Jazzercise last week. It is really expensive $10 a class and the music is not so great (hate hippy-hopp)…. we both thought it was “too easy”. We are not going back any time soon.
    12. I need to go out and visit my parents. soon. Maybe next week.
    13. I am so sstiff from reading that fat Harry Potter book…. my neck and shoulders. I need a massage.
    14. I am sorry I do not blogg much anymore. I think this is something like a xanga sabbatical. I might be recharging… or maybe I should just jump in the trash can and buy new haha. hmmmmmm

    God
    gives us dreams
    a size too big
so that we can grow in them.

  • I’ve noticed a whole bunch of people are on xanga sabbatical this summer. Hopefully it’s because they need re-charged and will be back soon.  Good 13, when you remember #7 I’ll come back and say good 14.

  • Hey Hey!  I haven’t been around much either lately.  We’ll be back when winter weather traps us inside, heh.  I *love* that quote!  So, did C&P have much to say at the video chat or did you have to do all the talking?  The elections could have a bearing on the housing market… maybe you will get it sold before then, for sure.  You sound like me: I spend most of my time hanging out with the doggie while everyone else is running all over the world.  I love that pic of Prinnie sleeping below… she looks like a baby on that blankie.  Hope you are feeling well while summer whizzes by! (((HUGS!)))

  • I’m going to have to take a sabbatical when school starts. I’ve filled my summer with useless things like swimming and xanga. Glad that you posted. Been missing you.

  • I love getting packages in the mail.  It’s like a present!  It’s a good thing I don’t have the money to order a lot of stuff that way!

It’s been VERY quiet in Xangaland, among the people to whom I subscribe, and we ahve missed you!  One person really can leave a big hole on here.

How marvelous that you are in such good shape that exercise classes are too easy.  With my decrease in activity due to my wonky knees, I will be lucky if I don’t have to work my way back up to taking walks once they have been fixed.

I noticed you finished the book, but you don’t say whether you LIKED it.  Did you?

Moving!?  Where will you go?  Will you move close to Blizzie?  Whoah, that sounds nosy – just questions that I think to myself, when I read.  Of course you don’t need to answer them.

I better quit being nosy and GO TO WORK!

  • Sounds like ya’ll  are having a busy summer–Glad your girls are close enough for you to visit them

  • I’ve been on an extended Xanga sabbatical too.. it’s just too darn hot to blog these days!

Glad your ok with your daughter and boyfriend moving in together…I know it’s not easy for parents. But they’re both probably savings wads of cash by cost-sharing.

    Move to Canada!

  • I agree with Suzi, it would leave a big hole if you didn’t come around…so whatever you have to say, whatever is on your heart, we are here and eager listeners and readers.

While not requring or forcing you to write, I do like it when you do. and worry too much if you wait tooo awfully long between visits.

    HUGS

  • #14 me too. Can’t think of anything to blog. Good to see you.

  • Usually when I get a package in the mail it is one of my meds!  Not very exciting.

You gave us your lists, but where are the explanations for a couple of them??  Like, why is Blizzie thinking of changing colleges?  And why are you thinking of selling—which leads into have you decided where you will go?  I remember you looking at places on the coast.

I am having a hard time thinking of stuff to say on Xanga.  I have been thinking of taking a break, but am not quite there yet.  I always go to the Photo Graphics ring to see if you have “uppy-dated”!  lol

  • “…jump in the trash can and buy new ha-ha…”

What is this “new ha-ha” of which you speak?

  • You need some…..

    Xango juice!

  • 1.  I haven’t made myself read the Harry Potter books.  I’m really not into wizadry (sp).  I like the paranormal, but not fantasy, unless it includes bondage…
    2.  I don’t really miss anything.  It seems like every day there is something new added.  This month is busy with birthdays and doctor appointments.  This month is going to tell a lot as to where my next few months are going to go with Dad.
    3.  I haven’t been shopping much with Dani while she’s been home for the summer.  We don’t really “shop.”  I’m not good at it.
    4.  The relationship between her and Ben is private.  They are very discreet and I appreciate that.
    5.  Are the kitties good?
    6.  I sent a birdhouse that my dad painted and my daughter decorarted to New York.  We’re happy about that.
    7.  I’m at a loss for this one, too.
    8.  My college girl has 1 semester of school, then she begins her student teaching.  I’m so proud.
    9.  Pork doesn’t like to be carried or handled, either.  He’s much younger than your kitties, too.   We have a stray coming around now, we call him John.  Diet changes are hard on felines.  Keep up the good work.
    10.  We just bought a lot at the country club in Butler.  There’s going to be a lot of trashing of stuff here, too.  That’s going to be hard for me.
    11.  Dani was going to the Comm Center to walk on the treadmill.  I haven’t been for a long time.  I sweat so much that I can’t wear my glasses, and I hate my vision being so blurred.  My contacts are so that I can’t read…ugh.
    12.  I’m happy every day that I can go see my dad, and I miss my mom every single dang day.
    13.  Come on over honey.  I can rub Jack’s earlobe so that he’s asleep in 3 mins.
    14.  Don’t worry about it.  Those that love y ou will always love you, no matter if you blog or not.  You’ll always be in our hearts.  We know you got lots of stuff going on.

We’re getting ready to build.  I’m excited.  Are you ready for the girls to go back to schools?

  • You can take a break, just as long as you remember to check in once in awhile, and keep us posted on the biggggggggggg events…like, videochat.

I miss the xanga buds when they or I don’t blog enough.  You have anice, well rounded list, so that helps.

    Take care.

  • Like a lot of others I’ve been scarce too around Xanga. Must be something in the air. lol Glad you’re still around and things are going well.

  • You know Rosemary  reading your post makes me know you completely and I can say I appreciate you more and more .And I think your parents too .

    And Blizzie of course .

    Love
    Michel

  • You may have forgotten number 7 but I’d forget more than that.

January sell a house? Is that what you said? You must not have much snow.

  • I’m kinda coming up short on inspiration for blogging as well. I’ve been at it for about 9 months. Maybe it’s done. Maybe not.

Glad your girlies are doing so well. Your parents are adorable as always.

  • stopped by to say “Hi”  Enjoy the hazy lazy days of summer.  It’s hot here.  I’d like a trip to W. Va in the mts…where it’s cool.
