Today I.
Oh man how are you doing with this time change thing? are you good with it?
saturday I went to bed too late and Sunday was brutal. I was tired and unpeppy all day
Today I woke up at 7:30 but really I could have slept for another hour.
I drank three cups of coffee with breakfast then I went to the rink
The ice was sooooo incredibly bad. Mondays we skate on the NHL rink and the ice is colder harder and chippy [24 to 26 degrees, hockey skates have a narrower blade]. They groomed it horribly and I just cannot figure out why really. everyone hated it. I was not only soggy from the effects of time change, AND then we get crappy ice!
Well, at 12:30 Kaye, Marian, Pauline and I sneaked over to the olympic rink (nicer softer ice, 26-28 degrees for figure skating) I thought this was very bad, we snuck through the corridor of locker rooms. I was riddled with guilt but Alice said “I have been skating here since 1972 and they can’t push me around, I have given them enough of my money!” Skating on the Olympic rink is sooooo nice, so we left about an hour later.
Blizzie is home studying for midtermsHubby sold Blizzie’s little car on Saturday while we were at my sister’s house at Andrei’s 11th birthday party
We knew some people were coming out to see the car, so it was not a surprise.
my mum and dad:three generations:now if we could only sell the house haha
No, we will not sell the house… maybe in 4 years. I think I am going to get some estimates to recarpet the upstairs. I would love to put in hardwood but I dunno… that is why I have done nothing. We have to fix this house up to sell it anyway, so why not do it now and enjoy it. I have a long list of stuff we have to do to this place. blah.I have a zillion things to do now. Really, a million.

My sleeping has been off anyway.
My brother really wants to move out of Ca. and he has been fixing his house and wants to buy in Nevada.
I almost always stay up too late anyway, but I have to say it was pretty bad to lose an extra hour on top of that! I like the extra light at night, though.
Andrei has really grown! He looks like he had a great birthday.
I’d love to have hardwood in our bedroom. I never move the furniture in there because it is too small anyway, so it wouldn’t get scratched! But it will be a while; the carpet will have to go completely bald first! : )
Andrei is a cute kid. He is certainly getting big!! I hope he had a fabulous birthday!!
The time change doesn’t bother me. It’s only an hour. I make up for lost time with no problem! hahaha..
You mom looks great. They are cutiepie parents!
Studyblizz is such a good girl. She takes care of bidness!!!!

1) Time changes are always brutal for me. I’m exhausted in the best of times, and this time change did not help at ALL!
2) CAKE!!
3) Geez, woman, you are obsessed with Obama! Breathe in. Breathe out. It’ll all be ok. Really, it’s a bad situation for whoever’s in charge right now. In every country. It’ll take time, but things will look up. We just all have to hang in there.
All my facebook posts today were about time changes and sleeping . . . and . . . z z z z z z
Since I no longer work, time changes don’t bother me. I have no schedules!!
Which of your parents do you most resemble, or is the resemblance a combonation of both? I had a shade of auburn hair that my dad’s paternal grandmother had, but as I grow older, I got mom’s dishy, shiny white hair and our profiles match. Also my Grandson, Jason, shares my profile. I am a bit of a Shintoist.
That kid is really getting BIG!
I love the three generation pic.
And your parents, as always.
Rosemary, I don’t think I have your email address anymore. I want to tell you about a website that cheers me and gives me the giggles and sometimes I just say “AW”. It is a site dedicated to pictures of cats and they even have their own language. Look up lolcats on your search engine. Their is a picture today that looks like Piero.
How are you doing healthwise. Better, I hope. I love your family pictures. Mine have gone away again, but it was nice while it lasted. Darn, I don’t want to break a hip again to heal things between us. I surely am getting better fast. I got an audience at the YMCA the other day when I was telling my story to a fella who was interested. I love to spread the word that exercise can help you get well from most anything.
Gotta go
Love,
Bev
Your parents look well , Rosemary and I like the photo of the three generations . And so the photo of you in the kitchen below .
)
I believe it is better to change the carpet
than to put the house on the market !!!
( 2 verses with rhymes !! Not bad for a man who is so poor in English
Elizabeth looks like you . ( beautiful ) . i wish her courage for her studies .
Thank you Rosemary for your kind comment and your birthday wishes .
love
Michel
All hail King Obama!
The time change didn’t bother me much. I didn’t sleep any before and I still don’t sleep.
It’s wise to sell the house in a few years. Right now is a bad time considering everything with the economy. Actually, I really should look into buying a place. Just maybe.
I hope you have the sun annouced , Rosemary . Here we have . So it is the rush in the veggie garden ( I don’ t skate !!!
)
If you have no sun , here is on the right !!
I suppose the daily walks are more pleasant without rain. .

I like the idea of fixing it and then enjoying it. We have nearly remodeled two homes prior to putting them on the market and then had to rethink how badly we really wanted to relocate.
You mentioned about flooring. Four years ago when we got a new dog we tore up the carpeting in the seond floor bedrooms and hall and relaced them with hardwood/no wax tile/tile and had the subfloor installed to level the rooms and hallway floors The great thing about doing it that way is even if you change your mind about a room, you have really added a great subfloor and could easily put a floor /carpeting on top. I have a 105 year old victorian though so have some different considerations.
Just stopping by to say “Howdy, partner”, she said, as she slapped her thigh…ouch.
Just to say Hello Rosemary .
J’espère que tu vas bien .
Amitié à toi
Michel
@ProvokingThought -
I just read this today… I have been busy. I agree with you completely, my hubby and I are still tossing around ideas.
I like the idea of wood floors but our house is huge four big bedrooms upstairs and then a ginormous sitting room too.
I am considering putting wood down in two or three of the rooms and in the upstairs hallway, and nice quality carpet in our room + huge “sitting room” and a quality runner for the stairs.
Thanks for your advice!
