  • When you are sorrowful
    look again in your heart
and you shall see in truth
    You are weeping for that
    which has been your delight.

    ~Kahlil Gibran

I have the nicest frins in the world.
thank you for such lovely comforting words.
trust me, they were very very encouraging.

today I skated at Cabin John.
I really did not feel like going… but hubby urged me to go.
What a great rink and all of my good friends were there. They gave me lots of hugs and even let me cry a bit.
Only Jim said “oh gosh it’s only a cat” and that was a mistake on his part. He is just lucky he did not get physically harmed.
Everyone was all over him on that.

Every morning I wake up and think it is a dream.
Princess is doing well. Caesar was my puppy dog. Princess is every bit a cat. She seems to be thrilled with the fact that everything belongs to her now… and the slaves will be tending to her every need.

Caesar always came running when I called him (well at 16 and a half he more like hobbled quickly). Princess never comes when she is called.
I call her for her afternoon meal… and she just waits. She wants me to bring it to her! She has 5 snuggly beds around the house, so my job is to go fine which fluffy throne she is relaxing in… and serve her.
    nutty.

Blizzie came home for the week-end and that was very helpful for me.
Last week was like a dream, and today… it seems like Caesar just died yesterday.
Obviously i did not skate last week, that would have been impossible but skating today was okay.

Thank you for your sweet friendship.

I have been playing some piano yesterday and today… Lord of the Rings stuff mostly. Blizzie comes home and she is just so much better than me.
One day I am going to force her to help me get better.

The Road goes ever on and on
Out from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
Let others follow it who can!
Let them a journey new begin,
But I at last with weary feet
Will turn towards the lighted inn,
My evening-rest and sleep to meet.
    -JRR Tolkien

Thank you for being my friend

  • I think going to the rink and getting into your normal routine is what you need to ease the pain in your heart. I’m glad you have family and friends close by to give you comfort and support. {{{HUGS}}}

  • I’m glad Blizzie came home.

  • sending hugs and prayers every day.  take good care of yourself!  **hugs**

  • (((MWAH!))) I think Prinnie’s motto is this: “Long ago, in ancient civilizations, people worshiped cats.  And cats have not forgot.”  I had a friend who had a cat that was her puppy… his name was Biscuit (their dog was named Ham, heh) and he ran to her when she whistled!  I think ThiZ is as much cat as C-Boy was puppy… ThiZ acts like you say here that Prinnie does.  She does not get along with cats, so I don’t know what her excuse is for acting like one, heh. Jim’s a goober… glad you didn’t inflict bodily harm… also glad you are feeling some better.  I wanna hear ya play the pianer!

  • I’m really glad you went skating.  As much as I wanted to do nothing and was really offended that the world hadn’t stopped at my loved ones death it didn’t and activity helped me and will you too.  I’m still thinking of you and sending love your way, hang in there and it will start to get a bit easier.  Caesar won’t ever be forgotten and he was one lucky fellow to have a mom like you.

  • Big hugs to you.

  • Yeah…I gotten the “it’s just a cat thing.”  I feel bad for people like that.  They must not love very much.  When you have a heart full of love, then it tends to bet all bruised and broken when you have to say good bye.  (Even for a short time.  I figure I have me a kitty welcoming committee in Heaven.  There I go again.  Big old fat tears falling. )  I’d rather have my big old fat tears and have my heart full of love, frankly.

Love you my friend.  ((((hugs)))) and all that

  • My cats are even more loving now that JouJou is gone.  I miss her so much…They do too and fight over her pillow.

ONLY A CAT!!!    Well, If whoever this clueless person is…if he and a cat were in danger of getting hit on the highway…guess which one I’d root for!?

Caesar was a precious and loving part of the family.  His memory will always be treasured.

    HUGS

  • I read somewhere a long time ago that cats never look at their reflection….there’s no need…they KNOW they’re beautiful. Princess is what she is…spoiled and why change things now? She has you well trained. Mew!

Jim needs to find a skating blade in crack of his patootie for his insensitive remark…what a lousy person he must be.  Poo on him!!!!

Gibran’s verse is awesome and so true.

  • I feel your hurting heart from here! It took me a long time to get used to coming in without Sugar being here to greet me. Now I have a ornery kitty named Toby who hides in a corner by the door so he can sneak out! You cannot replace a cat who has left your life. What you have are lovely memories. May your days become more bearable!

    Love

  • Oh honey, I know.  Pork is more dog than cat, too.

Glad you went skating, you need to be out among your friends now and then.  You probably felt much better after that.  And Blizzie coming home, I know that helped you so much.

    Stay strong, honey.

  • I agree with MarkLupton.  And if my “heartsy” Xanga page lifted your spirits even a teensy bit, I am happy!!

  • I’m back on Xanga (you might remember me as Formia) — I’ve missed reading you!!!

  • I didn’t know about Caesar and I’m so sorry to hear about that.  It is just so tough to loose our pets.

  • The presence of Elizabeth and the skate certainly made you better , Rosemary , but I feel your pain still is there . This demands time .
    I support you , my friend .

    Love

    Michel

  • You will never forget your sweet friend and just how lucky you both were to have each other.  Keep posting lots of pictures of him.  I enjoy seeing pictures of Caesar!

    Love,

  • How are you Rosemary ?

    You worry me .

    Love
    Michel

  • I just caught up with your older entries and realized what happened. I’m so sorry!!! *hugs*
I always love seeing pictures of Caesar. I always want to reach out and pet him! He just sounded like an amazing creature.
