  • I am very quickly turning into a random blogger now.
Life has been busy, well, I have a way of always keeping busy.

Blizzie was home for Easter break and that was super nice. We did many things togetehr but she also had a fair amount of homework, papers to write.
She is most likely going to transfer to William and Mary (same college Chrystabelle graduated from in Williamsburg), and studying international relations or global studies. One of those.
We went one day to DC (it is nice living so close to the nation’s capitol, yet far enough not to have to deal with that nutty city) and went to several art galleries. It was enjoyable and the weather was decent.

I have been skating one day a week. It is okay, really. Skating is great fun, I love my friends but one or two days is really all I am interested in these days.
    I still skate well…
Hubby and I walk every day.

I am feeling better about Caesar. I never thought I would step out of that sadness, but the grieving did ease.
I still miss him, but I do not sob anymore.
Then, Blizzie and I did something — we went to this guy in Fairfax about 30 minutes away, a cornish rex breeder and we looked and played with his kittens.

I have a kitten. He is 6 months old. I never would have considered this, but this kitten is so much like Caesar. very sweet. not aggressive.
His name is Pierro. Right now he is living in Blizzie’s room (where I am typing this with a kitten on my lap). Princess is aware of him but she has not met him. she can hear him. he has a very sweet gentle meow. Next week I will have them trade places (rooms) for about 4 minutes, then put them back in their own places. I wil do this once a day. then the week after I will put Pierro in the prison box and put him in a neutral area for Princess to observe for about 2 minutes… or less.
She is not aggressive. Pierro is not either, he is not scratchy or bitey.
Anyway, here he is. I have had a terrible time photographing him, he is always moving.

What else, oh, I have been busy.
Blizzie and I went to my parents for lunch one day when she was home. That was fun. My parents are getting old but they are doing quite well.

I better end here… speaking of… I should email my mom and see what she is up to.
I have not heard from them since last Thursday!!

I think Blizzie is coming home this week-end… not sure.
Pierro is having his surgery this Friday morning… poor thing. He will be much happier though… uh, right?

    Until next time
    me

    Keep smiling
    - it makes people wonder what you’ve been up to.

  • Yay for Pierro!  He’s sooo cute! I am glad the sadness is dissipating a bit. I was very worried about you.

I am off on vacation for the next couple of weeks but I hope to come back to see that your 2 kitties are getting along famously.

  • I am so happy for you. Of course you are still missing Caesar, that won’t change but how wonderful to have a sweet kitty in your lap. He is handsome isn’t he? I bet Prinnie is super curious, promise to take pictures of their first face to face meeting okay?

  • Congratulations on your new kitty!  A little bit of serendipity!

  • he is so cute and I’m glad you went ahead and had him and I know he won’t place Ceasar but you need a baby.

  • What a cutie!  There is nothing like a baby in the house to lift one’s spirits!!  Hopefully Prinnie will “adopt” him as her own.

Ouch, poor Pierro.  How can he miss what he never knew?!  lol

  • Random blogger – that’s ME!

  • One way I used to introduce cats was to rub my hands all over one and let the other sniff, and vice versus.

  • i am still grieving sugar as well. i cannot read much today to respond but wanted to connect with you, my dear friend.

  • That’s a long time to acclimate them to each other – I’ve never heard of going that slowly.  You’ll have to let us all know how it goes.  He’s a real cutie!  Kittens are so much fun!

  • Congratulations on the new Kitty. He is adorable.

  • There is a famous old French song ” Au clair de la lune , mon ami Pierro
prête – moi ta plume pour écrire  un mot
                                                            ————————————————”
I love the last picture . All of you three are very well . Precious photo .
    Love

    Michel
