Greetings everypeople.
Well, first about Pierro… I have not put the two kitties together because, as an overly cautious former nurse… something told me to wait, at least until he was completely checked out by the doc and that the little kitten could adjust to the new environment (my bad piano playing included).
Last week Pierro had his hoo-ha’s removed and guess what? he tested postive for giardia in his poop, which is common in catteries.
And with the situation with the breeder being what it was, it was bound to happen.Oh! I did not tell you about the breeder? Well, this guy was a really sweet russian fellow, Blizzie and I went there initially over spring break, one Saturday.
We went to his house and the place looked like it had not been cleaned much for a month or two… but it was fairly clean really, just tremendously cluttery, and a few completely dried out flower arrangements. So anyway, we met this guy and he told us about the kitties and so we played with them and I immediately fell in love with Pierro… so
Gosh this is a long story. I will just cut to the ending here.
Turns out the next week when hubby and I went out there he confessed to us that his wife died of a heart attack in February and he was managing everything on his own… and this was her passion, breeding showing cornish rex kitties. So he is just some retired guy living on his own managing the cattery.so. Pierro is on meds for giardia. Princess does not exhibit any signs that she has the bacteria. The vet wanted me to give her the ghastly tasting treatments as well, I did for a few days and then yesterday stopped. so she has had 4 days of treatment. Pierro… it is obvious he is not over this.
Well, he is the very sweetest loveable kitty ever. He is Caesar back again as a kitten.
Today I took him in my arms and brought him to Princess (she will be 17 in 9 days)
Princess did not hiss. She raised her head from her nap and meowed gently to him. Three times.
I told her she was fantastic and amazing and then I took Pierro the poopkitty away.so, what else is now.
Not much here.
I skate one day a week and I like that. I walk about two three miles a day (quickly) which is super great for the bloodpressure, wowie, for real!
OH my dad got the silver and the gold in the senoir Olympics this past week-end.
The gold in Singles Tennis final
(dad and his opponent) my dad is the guy in the red
and a silver in the Doubles Tennis final
(dad and his partner)I would tell you more stuff, but it is pretty dull, but certainly not boring.
The sun is not shining. we have had drabbiness for about 5 days and it looks like it will continue all the way into the week-end.
yay.I hope you are happy and peppy.

Good to see you posting. I’m glad you got another little kitten. That helps healing. No one will ever replace Caesar but little Pierro is making his own notch and finding a place in your heart.
Congratulations on your dad’s medals…WOW. You are the daughter of a famous and honored athlete.
We just saw a very badly behaved Bichon on the Dog Whisperer. She did NOT remind me of JouJou.
JouJou is having a good time frolicing in heaven. I’ll see her when I get there. Looking forward to it but I still have things to finish here…so many unfinished projects, I will live a long time. ( I’ll probably go before I finish)

Yay for dad, that is so cool winning medals in tennis.
That’s really sad that Pierro is having poo problems, but your a good mom and it will all be better soon. Princess is such a class act. I just love that Grande Dame!
New kitty sounds adorable. You just have to love kittens; I think they are the most amusing creatures on earth.
Congratulations to your Dad! That is great; and real medals, too!!!
The drabness hit here, just as I got off work. Boo.
that worked out good that you kept them seperated then and now she has gotten to see the baby and approved.lol
your dad is really fit then.
you are so skinny and I need to eat and exercise more like you do.
Good luck with the new cat!
I’m so happy you’re enjoying your new kitty.
so you walk 6 miles a day total? wow. it’s just now finally getting nice enough for me to walk. i am only a fair weather walker.
your parents are amazing. i love to read updates about them.
your dad’s a doll face, man. i can’t play tennis worth a hoo so i know he could whip me in a game.
love the new kitty face. i’m glad you got a new family member.
i wondered what breed they were….with their pointy faces.
and now i know.
[this of course does not mean i'll remember...]
That’s an interesting story on the breeder. I feel badly for the man….it must be so difficult carrying on without his wife….I bet he’s feeling lost.
Pierro seems like a very sweet kitty. I’m so happy for you.
Oh…gosh…love that picture of the trail….I sure do miss the trees and all. Sigh. I do. But my new doggie, Daisy is helping make life more zippety-do-dah. I think you know what I mean, right?
Congrats to your DAD! That’s so cool! He’s just as wonderful as can be.
You are very smart about things like that. I’m glad Princess doesn’t have that and that the new kitty is getting treatments. Sounds like he’ll aclimate well to everyone in the house!
I hope things go well with the cats.

Take care,
I am glad you discovered this before putting them together. I hope he doesn’t drive the Princess crazy. She needs her rest.
Keep walking and being active. I miss your blogs, I really do.
I am probably the only one in the world to not know what is the giarda . But you make all is necessary to care this Princess .
I am really amazed by the exploits of your father . What a man ! a golden or siver man !!
Tell him my congratulations .
Much love
Michel

By the way, I’m dying to learn how to play tennis. Is it difficult to learn?
That’s awesome about your dad. I want to start playing tennis this spring but I’ll have to start very slowly…
Awwww…such a cute little kitty. So sweet of your Princess to not hiss at the newcomer. Maybe she is reminded of Caesar as well?
