Guess what?
Blizzie got the gig.
She starts playing the piano in some fancy hotel in Herndon next week. She also found out (on Facebook) her room mate for this fall.
Her room mate seems very very wonderful. They have similar interests.Blizzie is transfering to William and Mary. Christina went to this college and graduated from it.

It is a college for over achievers to be sure.
Anyway, she learned that she did get in a dorm on campus (rare for transfer students)
Anyway, Bliz is in this crusty olde dorm with no a/c but she will get a window unit installed… that dorm is very crusty.
yikes bloo tile.
Well, the location on campus is perfect.
She is right in the middle of everything… and in this crumbly dorm
(I believe Thomas Jefferson was in this dorm 200 years ago) she will get the FULL olde crusty experience
I mean it, I am going to start blogging regularly some day soon.
I have been reading your blogs but not commenting.
Sorry.Hubby and I went to a wake on Sunday. A sweet wonderful artistic friend of ours died of Pancreatic Cancer. I hate cancer.
If I could I would shoot cancer, I would kick cancer and I would push the cancer right off the bridge.
I have a lovely pastel creation she made about 20 years ago. I bought it from her way back when and I could barely afford it.This week-end Christabelle moves into her very own apartment and my house looks like a warehouse. That is okay.
OH! Blizzie and I went to this fantastical retirement community called, um…. Potomac Green.
It is a really nice neighborhood. The yards are kind of small but man they had this recreation center that was just unbelievable.
2 pools, loads of exercise equipment, and an indooooor walking/running track.
The only thing missing is the ice rink……
Just so you know… my hubby is almost 55.
Okay, well we cannot sell this house now, and I am not ready to move into another house anyway.Oooooh next time I will put up more pictures of Little Pierro. He is such a good kitty. I mean it, he was heaven sent.
Princess gets annoyed with him, he reallllly likes to play and Prinnie is not interested in wrestling anymore.I do still miss Caesar.
I think I will miss him forever.
Last thought.
Tomorrow is my parents 61st Wedding Anniversary.
I do not know when we am going over there next…. now Bliz has a job on Monday at the library, so maybe next Toozdeee.
I hope all of you are very happy and doing well.
If you are not doing well, please tell me, otherwise I am shuffling around here thinking all is dandy in everyone’s world. The greatest wealth is health.

Every time I see Pierro’s name I link it to bayou. There was a song that had a phrase, “Pierro down on the bayou”. … or I am dreaming.. very possible. I still miss Sugar, Rosemary. I drag her picture out every now and then.
I guess everything is alright here. Trouble is I had a mammogram at 12:45 today, came home and napped. Woke up but did not check my answering machine till 4:45. The relay told me it said I was to call Carle. In fact they had called twice. So I laid down and examined my breasts and found nothing. I hate it when this happens. I have to wait till tomorrow at eight to find out what they want. Then I looked at my WWJD bracelet and said, “Whatever it is, You will be with me.” I have been fantastically fortunate, healthwise. I believe your turn comes when it comes. No sense worryining. …..hmmm I wonder what they want….LOL
A very precious and warm and happy post ParsleyRosemary. I am glad that everything is falling into place with MusicBlizz and MewPierro. I also love the beautiful art of cats that you now have as a memorial to your friend. I think she truly captured the heart of cats.
Happiness abounds. All is well. Love you!
Did they have running water and bluuee tile in Jefferson’s day? Just asking.
Little Pierro is adorably cute. As are your parents.
Glad you are blogging again. I missed you.
That’s great she got into the dorm that is right in the middle of it all. I’m sure she will have the room looking lovely and like home in no time.
WOW….61st anniversary. That is amazing. I hope your Mom is doing well.
All’s well here.
Oh, those college dorms! Daughter’s dorm rooms did not come with air conditioning, and they were not allowed to have a window unit unless it was directed by a doctor! So she suffered for a couple of years. I guess it makes having an apartment eventually all the sweeter.
Your new kitty is adorable!
Be sure to wish a Happy Anniversary to the ‘rents from us! : )
my mother went to that school, she was always so proud of that fact. that was back in the days that women didn’t get degrees (much)! she would’ve been 81 this year. so awesome that Blizzie can play like she does! i love the piano, and i’m so impressed with how awesome your kiddos are!
Dear Rosemary,
Congrats to Blizzie and congrats to your wonderful parents on their anniversary.
Great cat photos! Cancer is indeed a terrible affliction. I just posted two back to back entries about my “history” with my roommate Joel, who was diganosed in 2004 and is suffering quite badly right now. My condlences for your friend.
Michael F. Nyiri, poet, philosopher, fool
My friend went to William and Mary and I thought it was a pretty neat place.
dorms are just temporary
your dad and mom look like they’re dating in that photo-lol
your new kitty is so sweet. I love the sleeping together.
ps your painting you bought from the friend who died is wonderful.
I called Carle this AM and it was to change an appointment with my therapist!! Whewwwww!
61 years together is an amazing achievement. Congratulations to your parents.
My son is graduating from school tomorrow so its college for him and I bet he ends up in some much crumbier dorms than Blizzie’s. Things in the Caribbean don’t usually get modernised, they just eventually fall apart and get replaced.
Dandy is here for an old lady.
Happy wedding anniversary .
Bravo to Elizabeth( piano , job ) and Christine ( for the graduation ) .
I am glad you find again the way of Xanga , Rosemary .
You know I understand your sadness for the loss of your friend .
Love
Michel
Aw, what a cute pic of your mum and dad sharing a bench… sort of, LOL!
Sixty-one years is a yong, yong time! Congrats to them to persevere! (of course, they are they generation that would not consider doing ANYthing else!) Well, your home should get a little quieter soon with Bliz off at work and Christa moving to her own place. Can you adjust okay? Heck! Adjust is what we do these days, isn’t it???
Good news for Blizzie on her job and school stuff (I swear that dorm looks just like the one I was in my freshman year… which was back in the dark ages, you know?) It’ll be fine… is it a freshman dorm? Sometimes, they make transfers spend a little time in them to appreciate any other housing (that’s what happened to Mer at Wingate.) So sorry to hear about your friend. I hate cancer too… it sure is making my mother miserable these days! Oh and yes, we are pretty much doing well over here… just craZy with the chicas still around a lot (Mer got a job too, w00t! I can’t TELL you how happy I am about that!
) So glad to get an uppy-datey from you. I still love you MOOCHO!
Good to hear from you again! Somehow I missed your last blog. Maybe Xanga didn’t include it in my sub digest—I don’t know.
Will Blizzie be closer or farther away at W&M?
The kitties look so cozy sleeping together on their pink blanket! Perfect for princesses!
Congrats to your folks! 61 yrs! Only 13 1/2 more yrs for us to reach that plateau—-hopefully. Our bodies just have to stop falling apart, though!!! lol
Such happy news for Blizzie.
Blizzie is amazing. So are your parents..So are your cats. Ditto Cristobelle…
Of course…needless to say…you are absolutely right up there with the very best…! No doubt about that. I do miss your writings…the unique and colorful way that you use words..you are a word artist…”crusty crumbly”
Rotten stinking cancer..a cruel monster that strikes people down in the midst of life. A very beautiful painting and now you have a part of her with you.
I understand exactly how you feel about Caesar..Memories are wonderful but they are only memories and I miss the touch…
HUGS
Congrats to your folks and sorry about your friend. I will help you kick cancer and push it off a bridge.
Congrats and much luck to your girls. Both have a lot of good stuff going on in their lives.
I hope you come back to blog regularly here. We need your sunnyness here.
Is that even a word? Well it is now!
Hey Girl!! I’ve missed you!! (((Hugs)))
I’m so sorry about your friend having cancer.
I know what you mean! My father passed away of lung cancer back in May of 2005, and it’s a horrible thing.
That’s a beautiful painting your friend did.
I just love kitty cats. They are so special. Even though I am allergic to them, I still just love animals sooooooo much.
Congratulations to your parents wedding anniversary! That is so wonderful! Hope they had a great one!
I’m so happy for Blizzie being able to find that place. I hope she will be able to get the window a/c soon.
Hope you and yours have a Happy 4th!! Love Ya!
