What have I done! …?
I have healed up fast. I can wash my hand and do stuff as long as I am careful.
Thanks for the encouraging words.
You are loved by me.What a week.
Blizkin is home. I drove out to W-burg to get her. Fall break.
She has a 10 page paper to write.she must go back on Tuesday.
Last Monday I went to the rink and skated with my band-aid fingers and all.
I wore a mitten
putting my boots on was okay, I have gotten used to using my thumb, forefinger and pinky for everything on my left hand.
Apres skating we went out to lunch at a restaurant in Rockville.
I really had no idea where I was, I mean I know my way around Maryland sort of but not all of those places.
So I followed Pauline.
I got home at 3:00 that day. Wow, what a blast though.
We have decided that we must go out to lunch together every month. So many things to discuss.
This first time, it was just 8 of us.There are some very interesting things going on, “rink drama”
luckily none of it involves me
I cannot explain any of it because some of it is just too bizarre, relationships, and a guy that just started attending the Monday session.
He has boobs, no not manboobs, really bra holding boobs.
I cannot go on any more about it… just too puzzling for my mind, no he is not a woman. I am sure of thatSo, how do you feel about this election? Is it going on long enough for you?
It is all settling in here.
I already voted absentee so I am done.
How racism got injected into this… have you heard of spin? how about spin and chicago politic machine?
One person said “terrorist” ONE person said “kill him” and the media went WILD
very very dishonest and dirty.
have you heard the things that have been said about John McCain?
makes me sad sad sad
Now, we are preparing for the downward spiral, the thought police
will we have to turn in our friends if they say bad things about the … you know, Oblahblah?
He is already preparing us. negativity will not be tolerated, neither will the truth, so sit down and shut up because you do not know what the truth is anyway, do you!
hoo boy
Or will this be like Jimmuh Carter II? Somehow I do not think so.
this all reminds me of the book 1984. I don’t know why.
I do not want more US government – this issue alone… I have a million thoughts about
having been involved with with “action committees” in the past, this is not a good thing.
You keep people down. You do not want them to get up. If they leave “the system”, they… God forbid! vote republican!!
and that… is NEVER a good thing. so we have to tamp that right outI do not have much more to share… I will try to visit around soon.
right now… I must bake some oatmeal cookies.
I need cookies.
be well friendsWhen you are through changing,
you are through.

I need cookies too. Please email cookies!!! LOL
I don’t pay any attention to political parties….I study the man/woman running and decide. I don’t care is they are republican or democrat. I am definately voting against ..you know, Oblahblah.
I am way behind in my blog reading…I must go back now and see what happened to your hand.
Oh my friend, you and I are just going to have to agree to disagree on this one
Race is a big issue..how can it not? People have told me to my face, in very angry terms that they would not vote for Obama because he is black. And, there has been far more smear against Obama in this campaign than John McCain. But I’ll leave it at that. We just see things differently
I am glad things are well wit you and that your injury has healed up. I have been so busy with homeschool stuff lately that I have been way behind on comments, but I am enjoying your kitty pictures so much
it’s getting alittle too much drama for politics also.
glad you got to skate.
Well, I have caught up on your week…boy, you do mistreat your body, girl!! I am anxious to hear how your appt. went with your lady oncologist.
I came over from “mimiwi” and was still laughing over the red or blue state. I get so mixed up that I don’t even keep track anymore. Our country is in such bad trouble that I just pray a lot about it. I will vote, I never miss voting for even if my vote makes no difference in total, I will know I have a right to complain if things go awry…whenever do they not?
I am so glad to be home. The trip was really hard on my knees. every time we made a stop, I gasped when I had to rise. That and the rigid time set. We would be told to have our luggage outside our motel room door at 6:30 AM. Since I have a single room, I have no way of being awakened. I feared that I would oversleep. Only once did I sleep in, but it was okay for it was on a morning that we were to stay another night. I only missed breakfast.
I loved Boston and Kennebunkport, ME. I visited a Fransiscan Abbey in ME and plan to return there next year to stay in their guest house. I will fly, thus do away with the tiresome bus trip.
Stay well, Rosemary, my dear friend.
Bev
We ALL need some cookies. Oooh! I have brownies!
The election has gone on long enough for me. Sometimes I wonder why either of them would want to be responsible for the mess our country is in….why they’d want to put their own lives at risk…their families at risk being in such a position of power. It’s a hard job and whoever wins the election is going to need a lot of prayers and support. I’ll be glad when it’s over and I hope the person that is best for our country at THIS time will win.
I’m glad you updated. I miss you when you aren’t around Xanga…and your kitties, too.
OOOOPs…I see I missed something here by not coming around so much to visit. Now I must go back and read what you did to injure your hand. You really must be more careful when I’m away…OK?
Cookies(and it seems everything else) go right to my waist. I need to get back into my “proper” size before I look like a fat ole lady.
As for the election? Don’t get me started. We “smart” people(and we know who we are) must stick together and give each other support in this crazy world.
Have a wonderful day.
BIG HUGS
Fran
Girl, I don’t discuss politics here, you know.
I think getting together once a month for lunch with the ladies would be a great thing. I’m glad you aren’t involved in any of the rink drama. I just hate being involved in any kind of drama!
Cookie therapy is a good thing. Send cookies, send cookies, send cookies…..that is my mind melding with yours so you can …send cookies…..
Hello Rosemary . I am glad you can skate in spite of your fingers .
The politic turns to the drama . Hopeful the US have a good president . It is important for the whole world .
Tell Hello to Elizaberth before she starts back today .
Love
Michel
The election is way too dramatic this time around. I am always surprised when WI votes democratic, because I don’t think of us as liberal as some areas of the country. But we live in a more rural part of the state, and I think that makes the difference. It is interesting to see the breakdown by area. College towns are predominantly democratic. Small towns where there are mostly older people are more republican. I don’t want this misconstrued the wrong way, but in our town, population about 13,000, the south side wards, which are lower income, are more democratic, while our north side, which is more business people, are more republican. I find it interesting.
Each election gets rougher and nastier. I hate that. I really think the candidates should stand on their issues, and not sling mud. This seems to be so prevalent now. I guess I am a Pollyanna to a certain extent—why can’t we get along! We can disagree, but do it nicely! I will be so glad when the election is over. And just pray that whoever wins can do some good for the country. We need it desperately!
Hi Rosemary! Guess who this is? Jeri_Dee now, but you know me as KoffeeKween. Don’t know if you were aware of the change, so I thought I’d remind you/let you know…sorry I haven’t been around much…still running the blog ring though…no changes there! I’m sorry about your hand. Boy, when we are “bunged” up like that it sure makes us appreciate when we are healthy!
Glad to hear that you are still skating and even better that you make a concentrated effort to stay out of the “Rink Drama”!
I’m not one much for politics here on Xanga and I think I’d like to keep it that way. The only thing I have to say is that it just seems to be more of the same, if you know what I mean! I hope you heal quickly though because trying to tie you shoes/skates with 3 fingers just bites! Take care now~Jeri
MMM Cookies. Sorry about your fingers. I have a kittie that loves to ‘help’ me when I’m snipping with the loppers and I’m always nervous she’ll strike while I am. Those thangs are sharp! I’m ready for the election to be over cuz I’m tired of the talking heads. I’m spending this time praying for mercy for our country. I believe the US was a dream in the heart of God – so I’m appealing to Him for undeserved mercy. Tuesday blessings, dear.
