  • back home. mom is doing fine.
Dad is okay… everything is okay.
    I guess.
This ER doc today said mom does not need coumadin her INR is 1. He told mom that she was dehdrated and her sodium level was way too low.
So, they have to get Gatorade. Daddy did not know what that was. Mom felt good enough to go to the grocery store with dad.
I told them to buy 8 bottles of what every flavors look good.

I am here. I am not sure where my brains are…
I am going to french class tonight
I hope nothing happens while I am gone

Thanks again for the prayers. Thanks bundles and bunches.
    Xanga is amazing
    You peeps are amazing.

  • Good.  Sometimes getting dehydrated does crazy things to ones body.  I’ll keep praying though.

  • I’m glad all is well.

  • gatorade “rain” is realllllly good.
not too sweet…  i think mom’ll like it.

much to her and the rest of you…  take it easy, alright???

  • Good!  A couple days of gatorade oughta fix her right up.

  • ***Keeping my fingers crossed***

  • Phew.  She’ll be fine, don’t you just feel it?  I do.    Still praying, though.

  • those individual gartorade bottle are hard to get open-I’m younger then them, too. To be best shouldn’t the INR be 2-3 to be thin enough?

  • Its great you Mum is home again and feeling well enough to go shopping. I don’t know what Gatorade is (other than a drink, obviously), but I hope it works like Superman’s Kryptonite!

  • Hope the Gatorade does the trick!  How great that she feels weel enough to go to the store!

Enjoy your class  – oh, I bet you already enjoyed it by now!

  • When one gets older, one’s body can get “out of whack” very easily.  Praying that the Gatorade does the trick!  That would be an easy “cure”!

  • Drinking gatorade is not such a bad remedy.  I don’t really like it a lot but I would drink it, if I had to.  Much better than taking a lot of pills.

Jou’s birthday was yesterday.  7 months ago, I didn’t think she’d make it to her 14th.  I have a post on about her.  The next will be for the cats, they’re complaining….

Good luck with the French class.  Reading Fauqeut should help a lot!

    HUGS

  • Rosemary I have been caught by the row of your posts due to the circumstances : you mother ‘ s fall and the ER and the worries for you .

Dieu merci , elle est rentrée à la maison .
After this lot of emotions you are reassured now .Your mother looks fine . However a brobchitis is something serious for old people and she will have to take care this winter and have the meds .
I guess you are shoked and tired , dear Rosemary . I understand .
    A bientôt !!

    Love

    Michel

  • I’m glad she’s doing well and it wasn’t something more serious. Both of my folks have had issues with dehydration and it can cause a lot of problems.

  • I agree…kittens are funny, playful and do all sorts of naughty but silly things.   I do prefer when they grow up and become mature friends and very loyal companions.  They know when one is sick and they sense your moods and are there when you need a loving friend.  I love CATS!

  • So, tell me why they are giving her coumadin?  I hope she understands her INR and knows that it does not meant to not eat green veggies, but to eat things with vitamin K at a consistent level.  My parents don’t really understand that whole thing (and I didn’t either when they were trying to tell me, but when I was on coumadin, I understood) so Mom uses coumadin as an excuse to keep up her junk food junkie habits and not eat her greens… she knows better… she’s the one that taught me!  Tell yer mommie I said this is not an excuse to eat more cookies, hehe!  Just kiddin’!  I am glad she is doing better and give her a hug for me when you see her.  And now your dad knows the virtues of Gatorade… maybe it will help his tennis game.

  • Sheesh, you’d think I’d written enough!  About looking for your brain: I will look for yours while I look for mine if you will look for mine while I am looking for yours! (((HUGS!)))

  • Yeah, I have those dehydration issues and take the coumadin and have blood work each month.  I can’t drink the gatorade, but I sure sympathize with her.  Thinking good thoughts your way and hers, too.
