Okay today is Sundee and I think I should up date this bloggie.
Elizabeth is at William and Mary now.
The past two years she attended Messiah College. She loved this college, it was small, intimate and everyone was wonderful.
it was a private college and everything was spickkkk and Spannnn. It was a very sparkly college.
Blizkin made A++++++’s at that college. she is a very dedicated and hardworking student.
Last year she decided to change her major and pursue International Relations and European Studies.Messiah College was 99 miles driving north and took about one hour and forty five minutes to drive there. It was a beautiful drive up route 15, over the bridge and on through Maryland and then over to Grantham, Pennsylvania.
William and Mary is 3 hours away and a hundred and fifty bazzillion miles south east in Williamsburg, Virginia.
We have to drive on three major highways full of nutty people on their cell phones to get there.
It is a college for very smart people. It is very olde and crusty. Thomas Jefferson’s skin cells are scattered around the campus, mixed in with the molds and seeds and mildews and greenish slippery stuff on the bricks which make you slip and break your neck if you do not walk with care. So, that is the only interesting thing going on in my life right now.
I had a very lazy summer and my gardens show it. No fancy exotic plants,
just
zinnias,
various breeds of sunflowersand nasturtium in every flavor.Pierro and Prinnie are doing wonnnnderful. Princess is such an adorable olde kitty. I sure do love her. She is almost 17 and a half years olde.
Pierro is doing well. He is such a good little kitty. He will be one year old on September 23rd.
Remember, I adopted him when he was 6 months old.
Hubby had eye surgery, that is not going so well, but hopefully in the next few weeks things will improve.
I am doing okay. I am going to a new blood.oncology doc at the end of September. A woman. I hope that works out okay.
I will let you know. I am preparing my self for many tests x-rays and other horrible stuff, so I should not dwell on that too much.I will end here. I need a snack

it is what you do with what happens to you.

Oh…sorry his surgery is not going so well.
I hope you like your new doctor. I love your flowers…they’re fantastic. William and Mary is an awesome school!
Your kitties always look like they cuddle with the softest blankies!
I hope that your husband does much better every day.
Your flowers are wonderful. I love nasturtiams but sometimes have trouble getting them to grow. I didn’t even try them this year.
That looks like a Teddy Bear sunflower. The birds are going to be visiting you soon when all of those seeds set!
I hope you have a great new doctor. My regular doctor is a woman. I like her and I like her treatment philosophy, for the most part, except I don’t think she is aggressive enough in her treatments, which is a big flaw. I think I am getting my ulcers back because she used the old treatments. But who knows; we’ll see.
Beautiful flowers.
nice flowers and beautiful furry babies.
Honey, I am one hour away from W & M. Let me know if I can help. I DO mean it. I really do.
HUGS
Your flowers are so pretty. My pots are beginning to look scraggly as we move to Fall with 90 degree temps.
Don’t mention tests. Though mine will probably only amount to a sedrate check or another MRI.
I found you on Annette33–you’re comment intrigued me, thought you may be an Aussie, then pictures of zinnias! I have a row of them this year, just enjoy their childish exuberance. I think I’ll add you to my subscriptions . . . okay?
My cat lived to be 19. I miss having a cat around, it has been eight years. One of these, we have got to compromise and get a small lap dog. Not a cat, but at least something that I can sit with and pet, without being trompted on by the size.
@feedwaterclean - I came here because I was blog surfing, clicking on a blogger comment, which led me to another, and then to another. Fun to do, never know where you will end up.
@Annette33 - I used to do that, esp when first got on Xanga because I wanted to see what my kids were up to . . . now they’ve gone to Facebook and I’m still here. I think of you all as friends and wonder about how you are doing, but sometimes I think I spend too much time checking in on the blogs. Hope your Labor Day is doing great.
Loverly pictures, esp. of the catnippers. Take care and hubby will be okay and so will you. Believe it.
Looked over some of your old posts: what kind of skating, ice or roller? Wondering about your oncology thing. Prayers and good thoughts. Any other kiddos besides daughter? Have a 19-y-o dd myself, just married last year (surprise, mom and dad!) and a 23-y-o son, married last year, too (not a surprise.) Getting off now- about time! just goofing off today.
@feedwaterclean -
Ice skating! This year I hope to try a few ice dance lessons.
the oncology thing…*shivers* I have non-hodgkins lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma. so far, no invasive treatments, but always lots of tests.
I have two daughters, “Blizzie” and “Christabelle”. Bliz iz in college. Christabelle is 23 and has her own apartment (finally after much encouragement and urging of her mother) She is employed at a law firm and lives 5 miles away and a super snazzy place of her own.
Goofing off is good for you… I have been doing some of that today too.
@mommers - Now that I have official permission, I’ll proceed to the goofing off mode. Looking 4ward to getting to know you mommers.
It’s always good to hear from you. I can totally relate about being so busy that there is not enough time to blog or make comments. Lately I’ve been finding myself in that same boat. taking a little time to comment today, maybe I’ll get around to actually posting to my blog next week!
Sorry about hubby having problems with the eye surgery. I pray that he continues to get better and be COMPLETELY well! I’ll be thinking of you and praying for you with those tests…You remind me that I need to look up a new doctor. We have a regular physician that we are quite happy with but I need a new gyn…Only one woman around here but she also does a weight loss thing and didn’t really pay much attention to the gyn part (she made more money with the weight loss stuff) Now I need to look for another doc.
Interesting about Thomas Jefferson’s skin cells mingling with the other stuff. You must be a fan of CSI.
I simply cannot see a life without cats…two of them..Although our 2 don’t get along.
Take care, I’ll be away from Xanga for awhile…just will come back to check on things once in awhile.
Your hubby is the first one I have heard of having problems after the surgery. Hope things turn around and start healing properly!
Thanks for the info about the colleges. LOL on the description of William and Mary! Sounds like something out of a horror movie—although I realize it really isn’t. But that is the image I “conjured” up after reading about the slime and mold and mildew!
Hope you get good results at the Dr. You haven’t talked about it for quite a while, so I was taking it for granted it was not getting any worse. I pray I am right!!
Awwwww…they’re so cute together!
I’ve been down to Norfolk/VA Beach/Williamsburg several times and they do drive like nuts there. I remember driving in bumper to bumper traffic doing 90! Bleh.
Hope you’re having a good weekend.
Ah, Rosemary, I hate thinking of you taking all those tests, but if something good comes from it, it should be worth it! Also, I am sorry hubby is having a hard time after surgery. You have lots to worry about. However, I clapped my hands when I saw Piero and Prinny!! I am so glad you got Piero. Remember when my Sugar died, I got Toby and he is so sweet and ornery at the same time. He and Poof II get on like brothers. Poof II likes to give Toby a bath and lately I have noticed Toby returning the favor. Of course, I have to keep them brushed down well to keep off the furballs.
Rosemary, I tried to email you unsuccessfully. If you go to my site, you will find the cities I will be visiting overnite in Sept. and early Oct. I am hoping you might come have dinner with me at one of these places. At two of them I will be staying two days. Now if you can’t and you are too busy, I will understand. If you can, I will be overjoyed!!!
Take care and keep us smiling!!
Love,
Bev
