Okay, I have to do a schmup-date.
Hubby had his eye surgery on Wednesday. He had the multi focal lens removed and replaced with a regular lens.
It went really well, we made it home by 1:00.
One really cool thing was that on Monday I was blabbing to my frinz at the rink and Marian was saying that she was taking her husband to some doc for eye surgery on Wednesday and she could not skate. I said “oh wow, meeee tooooo!!” and then we realized we were going to the same place with our hubbies and they were both getting the same surgery.
So, yesterday, we arrived at the surgery place in Bethesda and yep, there she was in the waiting room. hahaSo, this morning, we had to get up really early to drive out to Chevy Chase, Maryland for post op visit. I have been doing all of the driving of course.
I had to navigate a couple of “rush hour” road clogs and we made it there about 25 minutes late.
The office is located sort of in Northwest DC area. Very city-ish. Sometimes I think it would be cool to live in the city.
Do my shopping at the grocery store and put my shopping cart on the elevator and bring my foods and stuff to my car in some parking garage….So anyway. I am really tired. We had to get up at 6 and leave the house at 7.
Right now it is raining we are getting some sort of low pressure system moving to the northwest from off the coast, so it will be raining all night and tomorrow too.OH YAY my doctor appointment for tomorrow has been canceled
YAY YIPPPPEEEEEEE
The doctor is a new oncologist in a different practice. I am leaving Dr Raj. I do not like him anymore.
I do not like him and I hate going to his office and his desk people and “nurses” (not sure they are really nurses) are annoying.
I hate that dirty fish tank, I am sick of the loud awful music and being charged for copies of lab results and tests.
So, I found a new doctor, she is brand new and yeah, a lady doc. yay but I cannot see her tomorrow too bad.
The practice is still getting certifications from insurance companies for her, or whatever.
So… maybe later. hahahahahahaaaaaaa I am so happy.
I am a baaaad patient.
so I will go shopping tomorrow at Wegmans and then maybe some other shopping.
Soon there might not be any money left in this country so I better get working on that now.
Maybe some day our house will be worth nothing at the rate things are going now.I know many of you are voting for Barry H Oblahblah, but I am not.
He has hubris that is beeeeeyond annoying…. to me anyway, that is what I feel.
Reminds me of Nancy Peeeelosi and Haaaarrrrry Reeed and that bunch of clowns.Tuesday was Peirro’s first birthday. He is so cute and bad.
I love him. Princess is doing wonderful. She does get mighty mad at him at times though.
She can take care of herself for the most part, but I like to keep them apart when I am not home.
I usually put Princess in my room with all of her necessities and comforts and she is very happy to be in my paradise room.Tuesday I went to my mom and dad for the day. We blabbed the whole time about all sorts of stuff. It was a major fun day and I want to go back very very soon… like maybe soon.
In November we are going on a wonderful adventure to Tennessee.
My sweet wonderful nephew (my sister, Dolley’s son) is getting married and we are going to their wedding.
I will be driving… and maybe hubby will come, depends on his eyes …and his work. My parents and Christabelle are coming too.
We will rent a cool car… maybe a Ford Flex, and I will drive. so, we had some discussion about that too.
I am so excited to go on a road trippie with my mum and daaad.Okay I will end here because I must make a long shopping list and plan where I want to go tomorrow.
I should go skating but I will go next week because I went on Monday and I had a tremennnnndously wonderful time.oh, my poison ivy? It is still around. Just on my arms a lot and a few small spots on my legs. I noticed a few new rashes today. so far it is manageable but gosh… it does not look like it is going to leave anytime soon. bummer. Most of the time it does not bother me too much
but then all of a sudden it will get really crazy itchy.I hope all of you are doing well. I will try to visit around soon and say hello.
I really do miss all of you but I have developed some sort of xangaADD and have a very hard time focusing latelyLove always
Everybody is somebody else’s weirdo.yeah, enjoy that

I love the quotes you find.
Sounds like it’s a good thing to leave Dr Raj. He is no longer meeting your needs.
Poor hubby and his eyes. Poor Rosemary, having to do all the driving. I feel your pain!
I totally understand about the xanga add thingie.
Sounds as if all is well on the home front. Have a great and safe trip to the beautiful, green and lush state of Tennessee. Wave “Hello” to Johnson City. I used to go there to visit a friend and ride her horse (on the highway..ssshhh…don’t tell her mom and dad)
I’m glad your Princess is doing to well. I know you looooove her. And the new kid on the block is probably very S-P-O-I-L-E-D by now.
Drop the bad docs with rude help. I hope the new one is the ticket!!!!
(You really don’t want to live in the city of D.C. and you really don’t want to be dependent on an elevator or schlep around in a half dark parking garage with strange people milling around. Uck!!)
xoxoxoxo
oh yeah, just remembered another thing:
NO ONE who built a ridiculous temple to himself in the middle of a sports stadium has any business calling anything someone else does a “stunt”.
Okay?
Well, yay for putting off a doctor’s visit. That had to be a big relief!
Sounds like you have some major fun stuff coming up, even if you do have to drive.
New rashes are not good with the poison ivy. Don’t wait too late to get it treated. I would not want anyone to go through what I did last year.
happy birthday to the big boy
I thought your poison ivy would be gone by now, sorry
you are looking forward to having your parents in thecar? Daddy is gone but mom is terrible in the car if I drive but if hubby drives she doesn’t even pay attention to his driving cause he’s a man!
Thanks for the update. Your kitty is so sweet, and I was glad to hear your parents are going on the road trip. I truly hope the doctor thing works out for you. I have lots of dr. appts in a couple of weeks. sigh, I am not overjoyed about it.
Hope hubby’s eyes heal better. I guess I was fortunate, I had no trouble with my surgery, but don’t ask me what lens were put in. I imagine regular kind.
You may hate ‘us’ in the Democrat camp but here let me leave you this so you know why I ain’t voting in yours.

What a nice long post; my kitty loves those mice too, she eats their tails off (!); totally on your side re: Obama. Adding Sarah to the ticket was what won me over to McCain but am very cranky about all the personal, non-issue mud being thrown at her. Dems must be shaking in their boots to resort to that nonsense. Re: profile pic – her name is Sophie and she’s really my DD’s kittie left to me when DD (1) went to college and (2) got married. Hope you don’t ADD Xanga too long, love to see your blogs.
A good doctor may change many things , Rosemary.
I am glad for your husband
i have returned on Xanga after 2 months so I tell you hello
Love
Michel
It was a pleasure to see you on my site , Rosemary .
Thuis is friendly
Love
Michel
It is strange the things that cause one to comment. I noted that you are somewhere in the DC area and then you mention going to Wegman’s! WOW! If it’s the same one, that was a local grocery store when I was a kid in Rochester, NY. I knew it had grown, but I didn’t think it had spread that much.
Peirro’s a cutie. My son’s cat shreds those mice very quickly. My kitty mostly ignores them. Is that Princess in the profile pic.?
Oh, and the reason I stopped by was because someone commented not to let Mommers see my post with a friend’s open letter to McCain. So I thought I’d check out why. Perhaps you would like to read it. (I’m independent. Voting record is pretty much everything to me.)
I love the quotes. Particularly the Thomas Jefferson one (on a more recent post, I think).
