  • Merry Christmas every body!
I just finished baking a zillion cookies and I am going to jump in the shower soon (because I love them) and then maybe go for a walk.
Yesterday I did not skate… actually I decided Sunday evening that I did not feel like skating this Monday.
So then yesterday Princess decided to act a bit unusual with her litterbox, so what a mistake that was for her.
At 17 and a half years old, you don’t just go around acting
like you can’t pee. We (Blizzie and I) shoved her into the prison box and off we went to the vet.
She ended up spending the day there. I know she felt it was a tortuous ordeal, but they LOVE her there. They think she is adorable and she meows a lot  and stamps her paws and purrrs.
They put her on some pain meds because they thought perhaps she had a urinary tract infection so when we got her at 6 pm she was still flying high and in quite a party type mood.
She is doing fine now. she has some antibiotics and more pain meds which just make her feel very bold and she hobbles around the house which makes Pierro nutty with happiness and excited that perhaps she has finally decided to be a playful olde lady.
She just hollers at him which makes him even more excited.

I am ready for Christmas. We are going to my parents on Christmas day, spending the day with them, and I believe Joyce and Andrei will be there
and my nephew (Dolley’s son), the one that just got married to sweet Kim, will be there with Kim. I am really happy HAPPY
Then next day Sally (my oldest sister Dolley’s daughter that lives in Boston) will be coming down. She is a lawyer now.
So, we will be driving back to my parents on Friday for more food and fun.
I have a lot of cooking to do becuase I am making the ham and the potatoes and um… cookies.

I will end here because I just have to go now.
I will update very very soon.
meantime, enjoy these last lovely days of December and savor this Christmas with your friends family and plenty of cookies

I am very disappointed in xanga. they are using the new improved version and I DO NOTTTTT LIKE IT

This could mean there will be consequences!!

here is an old photo of my sweet Caesar from just last year.
What a sweet doll he was.

Please tell me what your plans are for the next few days. I want to know!
I will be thinking of all of you. Be well.
drive carefully, try not to get involved in any family snits,
Just float along in your happy place

Life is far too important a thing
    to ever talk seriously about

  • Poor kitty!  I hope that takes care of it.

You are going to have FUN.  Let’s see a pic of all your cookies!  Wheeeee.

We’re going to Mr. Incredible’s parents on Christmas Eve, then spending Christmas Day with the four of us playing games all day.    Yay!

  • Old system? Whatchamean?

I hope your kitty will be ok!

Sounds like you’ll be in some fun with your family. If you have any leftovers send them on over the mountain.

I’m working tomorrow and Friday, but on Thursday I’m going to my dad’s for a luncheon thingamaroo. Then I’m sure that night some of the guys will make me drink beer or something…

  • You take such good care of your kitties.  Pork does not like his prison box at all, unless he is in the vet’s office, then he thinks it is a castle.

Tomorrow, Christmas Eve Day, we will be having our Christmas Eve dinner at 5:00, then on to the gifts!  Danielle and Ben will be here for that, of course, then they will go to his folks house for the night, having Christmas morning at their house…then back here to have a little Christmas morning, stockings and such.  We’ll leave for my sister, Kelly’s, at around noon or so, I think, spend a little time there, head back home, get in our jammies.  Kandi will be home sometime that evening, we’ll exchange gifts with her then, and hopefully that will wrap up a successful Christmas season.

Glad you are getting to see some relations you are excited to see.  Have a great time at your folk’s!

    XXOO  Merry Christmas!

  • my son and his wife have had christmas the last several years and it’s so nice to just bring the presents and some food and not do it all.  I can enjoy myself.  Enjoy the parents and my mom might come and she might now.  My brother and sister couldn’t get her out of the nursing home for thanksgiving so my 54yrs old brother stayed and ate there at the home with her-he is sweet. Hope sister or brother can get her to leave the home for a few hours-her world is getting so small.

Ceasar looks like he had a cigar? or is that a mouse toy?

  • @jillcarmel -

    LOLOLOL a cigar hahahahahaaaaa
    yes, it is a cigar.

just kidding. it is a mouse toy. He was such a mellow kitty boy in his olde age. Gosh I miss him.

I hope your mom comes. That would be such a great thing. I know, the olde folks have a hard time just getting out sometimes. It becomes an ordeal. We go to my parents all the time now, every occasion. Just less stress for mom and dad. My sister and I do all of the cooking and baking and mom just contributes what ever she feels like.

    Merry Christmas

  • @mommers - that is nice of ya’ll to do it all and go to their house.

Hubby and I drove sunday to the kids house 45miles away and fed their cats.  Hubby said,”now,we have to turn around and go again thursday.” This is a man who used to drive an hour to work everyday but now that we’re retired we don’t get out like we used to.

Have a good christmas with your parents. love jillc

  • Tomorrow (Christmas Eve) I will be at my Husband’s family’s house with just immediate family which I believe is up to 20 (local) now.  I have to take dessert, which I haven’t made yet!!!  Cookies don’t count there.  (But I bought some cheater stuff at the store in case I need to give myself a break – pies and cakes and the like.)  We’ll open our own family gifts and nosh on fun food (and lots of cookies!) Christmas day, with probably visitors.  Then another two Christmas celebrations sometime between then and the weekend.  I shall be celebrated out!

  • Thank you for your optimistic comment , Rosemary . And I had it twice . So it is better yet !
I wish to you and all your family including your parents a merry Christmas and a happy new year , filled with blessings .
Tomorrow we have the children and grandchildren .
    Love

    Michel

  • Sounds like you need to send me some cookies so you don’t have to eat so many yourself.  Your area is making news here in Ohio because of the water main break.  My ears perked up when I heard the words “Cabin John’s Volunteer Fire Department” and remembered you.  I’ve got a friend in Annapolis and this happened right after he went through that area – great luck on his part, but sad for those trapped.  Anyway, have an exceptional holiday and read you soon!

  • Merry Merry Christmas, busy Santa’s helper.   God bless you and happy travels.   Would appreciate prayers about family snits.

  • BAsicaally our plans involve eating a lot of cookies, going to church with everyone, eating more cookies, making spaetzle to go with the pork roast, eating dinner, eating more cookies, enjoying the grandkids and encouraging them to get to bed early, waking up to stockings and presents and cookies, more eating, unwrapping presents, some major napping, and Heavenly Ham for dinner.  With Cookies.  Aren’t you glad you asked?

Merry Christmas to all of you!

  • @valreads -

massive cookie consumption going on here too. I am loving it. High on sugary fancy red and green sprinkles and icing.
I love sugar cookies. I LOVE COOKIES
Merry Christmas to all of you

  • My plans are to enjoy the great grandkids and am doing that!

It’s really cold here but…my boots have really come in handy and they are WARM!  and contrary to so many opinions, they are waterproof and I’ve had plenty of chances to trek through the stuff…and my feet have remained warm and dry.

A lot of eating going on here.  And Val is working working working , cooking , eating, cooking , dishes.  I try to help but…she has her own way of doing things and I’m a Klutz.

Just glad to be here.  Today is the BIG day!  I’m up early …it’s only 16 degrees here.  The stockings are hung by the chimney with care….

Brunch, open presents..get ready for company and eat again…and again.

  • I miss JouJou too!  She was magic.

  • @josaju -
