  • Well, I am very sorry I have not been around xanga land much. I have been on Facebook land and other than that… I cannot account for much else. skating goofing off hanging around with my parents. My dad is doing quite well. His leg is healing quickly. he can walk and everything!

    What’s new?
I am pretty disgusted that I hardly have time to read the latest on all of your lives the past few months.
I have been tremendously busy. I try to keep very busy. It keeps me out of trouble. I have been doing some sewing, and baking, and lots of walking. I will not skate this week b/c of the Easter holiday, so my plan is to slave in the yard every day.

I wrecked my car last Tuesday. some guy pulled waaaay out in front of me at an intersection and I had no choice than to hit him.
I was going about 50. I have never crashed a car before so it was surreal for sure.
I was not injured because my car is very safe. I could have hit the cadillac right in the passenger side, but I did some quick thinking and decided to turn a bit to the right and get the front of his car and his wheel. Anyway, he got a big ticket. I got lots of attention from the po-leese.
Good times. They asked me if I wanted an ambulance to come and check me over but I was okay. I called hubby and he came and got me and we went out and got our hair cut. I was still in shock, so hey, why not get a haircut?
next morning I was a little bit stiff, but really nothing bad. I had a burn on my left forearm from the airbag when I was turning. It is all better.

    Jeeeeez I am lucky.
The car is in the shop, and so far the guys insurance has to pay $7000+ for the repair.
I will probably trade it in after the repair and get a new car. Not sure when, but we got this nasty loaner car, Nissan Altima (“household appliance white”) it is really huge and ugly. The interior is black, yuck. so, hubby is driving it. I just moved all of my stuff back in my “old” car that I was driving long time ago (the Saab)

I have loads of marvy photos I should put up here but I will just give you these for now.
    I miss all of you.
Please tell me how you are doing.
    mountains of yard work awaits.
    Love always, Rosemary

  • Rosemary! (In a mom kind of voice!) I am so glad you are ok, I saw the picture before I read it and had to take a deep breath! I hope you are really ok, and am glad you aren’t seriously injured. Life is crazy that things like that jump in our days as we go along. But new cars are fun, anyway. Hope you have a great day!!

  • the kitty’s look good but your poor car-I would say it’s totalled. you need some Aleeve?

  • wow…your poor car and poor YOU.  So glad you are okay.

  • @jillcarmel -

yeah, I would say it is totaled too. we were hoping, as the front left axel is crushed into the car about 10 inches. At this point, we are still waiting for the full report from this very good car fixing shop in Chantilly Va. They may still total it.

I have been doing great. first day I took tylenol and ibuprofen alternately every 5 hours.
After that I was good as ever.
My knees just stopped shaking yesterday though

  • I would be shaking too.

  • OMG – I’m so glad you’re all right! That is so scary!

(And btw…how’d the haircuts turn out?) =D

  • What a HORRIBLE experience!!!  I’m just so glad you’re ok.  Good thing you were alert.

    HUGS

  • We are all glad no one got injured.  Good thinking on your part to swerve a bit to avoid slamming directly into the side of his car.

  • SHEESH!   What happens when you ignore us on Xanga!  (Winkee Winkee)  So glad you are unscathed and it is very nice to see you posting: we miss you Rosemary dear.  After I wrecked our car, DH was nervous every time we got in the car together.  He still gets a bit shakey four years later . . . praying you have no emotional residuals, either.

  • This happendd to me a few times in the past with the same result as on the photo above . I was shocked . Fortunatly you are safe , Rosemary .
You need to be busy ? I understand this because Janine is the same at this moment after her  vein surgery a month ago and also the up coming tests ( following her breast surgery in 2007 ) .  So at this moment we work in a couple of rooms ( bedrooms ) : painting and wall papering that will keep both of us busy until the end of the week and next week.
     Take care of you.

    Love

    Michel

  • Wow, glad you weren’t hurt!

  • I’m glad that you are ok!

  • Don’t be a stranger, Mommers.

  • Simply to thank you for your comment Rosemary and tell you I am glad the insurance pays rather well for your car ;
Tell hello to your parents from me .

I wish to you and your family a happy Easter.
    Love

    Michel
