RosemaryFor flowers that bloom about our feet;
For tender grass, so fresh, so sweet;
For song of bird, and hum of bee;
For all things fair we hear or see,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee!
~Ralph Waldo EmersonTwo additional thoughts while the laundry is twirling and the blueberry coffee cake is baking:
1. at the rink on Monday I learned that most of us are doing Thanksgiving at our homes with the family coming.
Some ladies wanted to set up the tree, some say it is the tradition of ThG to have that tree up. Okay. I have never done that, but hey, I am feeling frisky, so that is why the tree is upstairs however now I must put it together. eh-hem, so anyway….. My rink lady frinz said that they would be putting up the tree regardless of the reactions of any guests that might be offended. I suggested that perhaps it would be good to set up the tree and decorate the whole thing perfectly, then cover it with a large super big sheet. When the guests inquire about the tree, you can just say that it has been up since last year and you never take it down, it is just covered up until the yearly unveiling on some date.
Right?2. Blizzie is slaving on her music theory homework and she has to write a hymn. She is a tiny bit mighty crabby about that.
I am just going to be quiet and continue on with my slave-ish duties.

the kittens look well. I hope you have a good time and everyone gets to stress out and I already did my stressing with the family reunion. I told my son back in 1994 when he left for college that it’ ll be nice since I won’t have to put up a tree and of course he said,”it won’t be christmas so I did again.
I really like Emerson’s prayer.
Now, remember to take little moments to just relax and enjoy during your Thanksgiving. May God bless you and all your loved ones Rosemary.
You funny, hehe. I am busy too… Hope you and yours have a MARverlous Thanksgiving… there is always SO much to be thankful for! (((HUGS!)))
Seems unfair to take the spot light off the turkey on his special day by doing a tree. However, it wouldn’t bother me if it happened.
Hope you have a happy Thanksgiving!
happy Thanksgiving to you all , Rosemary and family.
Courage for the hymn , Elizabeth !

Your cats look content! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Tree, not yet for me. Usually I would start on the cards. That is out right now as the office is asunder waiting until we get the new scanner operating and can shove the desk and bookcase back. Not sending many cards this year anyway. Cut the list way down. If folks can get email then their card will come that way. (so you can take me off snail mail list too should you wish-
I’d be crabby too if I had to write a hymn.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Tiny bit crabby is not the right frame of mind in which to write a hymn! LOL
No tree. Not for Thanksgiving. The pilgrims didn’t have a tree. Blech on a Thanksgiving tree.
I do like your sheet idea. It would save a lot of work!
Sheet works for me. Get a head start on it.
I won’t put up mine for another few days, but I will do other stuff and then decorate the tree……soon.
Nice cat pics
