Hey yah
It is boiling hot here… something like 200 degrees outside and humid too.
Chrystabelle and Jason just came over after work to get some things and give back a dish she borrowed. (it is so nice to have my main child only 4 miles away)
So, as they are leaving… I look down and there on the front stoop is a bug, about a quarter inch long and fairly narrow, somekind of beetle thing… and eight tiny ants have that bug by each of its legs and they are trying to carry the buggie off…. the bug was still alive!!!! Isn’t that disgusting?!
Good grief. I just had to share that with you.
Ant Gangs… nauseating.I have not done anything exciting lately,
and I have no other news at this time.Oh,
I have to get a bunch of x rays next Friday…. for Doctor Rajendra. Just thinking about it makes we want to barf, so I will not think of it.
The kitties are doing okay. Prinnie likes getting subq’s now. Amazing but true.
They are still happy and cute and silly. ah, geezer kitties are soooo adorabibble.I hope you are having a wonderful summer.
be well

is nothing more than the habit of resting
before you get tired.

I like that about laziness, too. It’s the coolest summer on record here and it’ s the rain I’m sure. It would be nice to have your kids so close. Mine are both to far to drive very often but at least still close enough if hubby and I want to go see them. They work alot and no grandkids so they are always busy.
I like that definition of laziness. Then it makes logical sense and doesn’t seem lazy anymore.
It’s only 1500 degrees here, but still too hot to be outside for very long.
I hope your doctor visit brings you good news.
I am getting MRIs of my knees tomorrow morning. Which of course feel very much better now. They will probably say, “Why the heck did you think you needed MRIs, you silly woman…and that’ll be $5,000.00 bucks please.” I knew I should have gone when they were all nasty and swollen. But sheesh, it’s been about three months of pain, and NOW they start to feel better. Silly knees. Still, it kind of freaks me out. That’s why I demanded (okay, requested politely) to be the first appointment (well, almost) of the day.
I hope your X rays go well. I am sorry you have to wait until next Friday.
I was just talking about icky ants with someone else here on Xanga!
How nice to see you in Xangaville again! I know you’ve been around a little bit, and I do understand how busy the summer months are. I feel like I’ve been running around like crazy all summer, the kids are home all day (all day) or going to work or going to the pool or doing this or doing that…
Glad to hear the kitty babies are doing well. You know I have a huge soft spot for Oldsters, two legged and four legged.
You take care, honey bunch. Don’t fear the X-rays. It’s just a nice way for you to meet some nice new people at the X-ray place.
La la la!
Why is Chrystabelle the main child?
I think you might enjoy this video. My cat did!
I like your laziness quotation. I have one for you that often springs to mind. “We can’t stand about here doing nothing; people will think we’re workmen.” – Spike Milligan
Ants are yucky. I’m glad your geezer kitties are hanging in there.
That’s a good quote. Me likey.
I hope it cools down for you SOON.
I’ll pray for you to have a non-stressful x-ray outing next Friday.
That laziness quote resembles me—-especially this summer. Today is OK, but when it gets hot (even warm) and very humid, I am a zombie. Cannot get enough oxygen.
Hope your x-raying goes well. You haven’t talked much lately about your illness. Have you been having any problems with it?
Ants? Ken has a running battle with them. We have very sandy soil, and they are forever digging their little anthills. I think Ken has an ant powder container joined to his hip. I see spots of white powder in different spots every day. It is a never-ending battle for him!!
How can the kitties LIKE sub-Qs??? You must feed them sushi-grade tuna along with it. The heat index here now is…112.
Hi Rosemary,
I want to thank you for the kind words of comfort you left me. It’s been a hard week. My daughter and I have never known such sadness. However, yesterday my Ubby said he was coming back. I don’t know what that means, and I’m not allowing myself to get my hopes up high, but I am a positive person and hope that he goes for the help he needs with his depression.
Your thoughts and prayers were welcomed and appreciated. Thank you so very much.
About your ants… how cool is that? I once saw a horde of ants carrying off a small lizard. They fascinate me but I don’t like them in my house.
Hope all goes well with the doctor appointments. The kitties are so adorabibble.
I like that word.
*hugs*
I agree with the definition of laziness , Rosemary but I am sure this doesn’ t apply to you . You are a bee . About bee , take care of the ants !!! They bite !
I hope the X rays bring an improvement to you .
Do you walk everyday with your husband as formerly ?
Much love
Michel
I thought my hubby wrote that quote, LOL! Ant gangs are very industrious though… the big ol’ bug musta smelled good to them. About the x-rays, breath deep and don’t be anxious. You can do this cos God takes care of you. You are loved a LOT! (((HUGS!)))
Lazy is my current favorite four letter L word. It is nearly 3 AM and still 83 degrees. I hope your fur friends are faring better in the heat than the rest of us are….Have a cool rst of the week. I am missing your blogs, but hey, it is too hot to read or write much.
It has been hot here. Too hot. Bring on the winter. Poor little buggie…I almost would have been tempted to help the little fellow out.
How come you are getting x-rays? I hope all is well.
We have ants in our shed. They don’t belong there and they too travel in gangs. Cruel person that I am, I dumped bleach on them but it didn’t deter their march…I have no idea why they are in our shed.
I’ll tell JouJou about how well behaved your kitties are. Maybe they can serve as an example. She tries to slither away when she sees the fluid bag. She is gradually getting much slower and declining. If she lives to October 9, she will be 14. We’re doing all we can and when that no longer works and we see she is suffering, we will not want her to suffer. As for now, we are enjoying the time we have with her.
You are sweet to take time to wish me a Happy Birthday. According to Val’s math, since I’m only 57 and she announces her age, that makes me a year old when I gave birth to her. Pretty good, don’t you think?
HUGS,
Got to 97 degrees here yesterday. Today to be 98 but they have warnings out if you have asthma and such due to air quality. They should say lack of.
Order some prints of the Xrays.
