Okay, it is about time I told you what I have been up to.
first of all… it is raining. I am pretty happy about that.
The fence will be constructed next Monday. It will be a nice fence.I skated last Monday…
Yesterday, oh wowie I did something I have never done before. I met a xanga person. and. it was a good experience.
I was a bit nervous and jittery about the whole thing at first. Val was near Warrenton with her hubby. He had some work related wingding conference thing going on. (top seekrit, only to be discussed by us governmentie spouses of course) I have accompanied my hubby on these sort of expeditions, the only disappointment is that usually you are one of about …. one other government guy’s wife to go along, so you do not really have your own gang of ready made friends… you have to do what you have to do, while your hubby is at the blab-fest)
So, I jumped into my hot car and drove out to Warrenton and met Val at the Jail House Museum. Then she bought me lunch!!! we ate at a really wonderful restaurant, le serveur beau a inclus.
Warrenton is rather po-dunk so there were not many places that looked even halfway decent.
Then, we went shopping. Val reeeeeeealllllly likes to shop. Friends and family of Val. You have some superterrifical gifties coming to you. She spent a mint on manymany well considered gifts. Especially TNuts. Oh boy, you have a good one coming your way, and mom
, you cleaned up!We did a lot of blabbing and walking. Val is a very fun lady. She looks EXACTLY like her bloggie picture. Her blog is a little bit of dull (like mine) but she is REALLY much more interesting and way more perky than her blog.
I came to the conclusion that your bloggie is not really YOU. All of you are much better than your bloggies, I believeOkay I will shuddup now.
Here are some pictures of Val that I took.
she is going to have some pictures on her blogggg and I am werried. I think I probably look like a big dork. Sorry. I am not photogenic or what ever…
Val is very short. She is even shorter than the Queen of England
This is a super great picture of Val. This photo looks just like her.

Is she not the cutest? yes indeedie. Then I had to leave. It took me forever to get back home because I decided to take the back roads 29, 15 and 50, instead of rt 66, because that road had way too much excitement in the morning. Unfortunately I spent half the trip driving home behind “the cheese”, a skool bus. I could have exploded but I did not. I listened to Shawn Hannity on the radio and enjoyed the rolling horsie and cow country side of Fauquier county. They have some nice peeps in Warrenton, but no Val… that gorgeous house we found is G.U.: Geographically Undesirable
Thank you Val for inviting me to meet you, and buying me lunch too.
It was superb great fun! Then I went to classe Français and had a great time and got a trés bon grade on my test! Then I was chosen to read a biggg huge long thing in front of the entire classe and got a big fat star for that. go me.
Tomorrow is my LAST drawing class (it is thankfully only 6 weeks), so I have to sort of finish this picture and bring it in.
It is not done but I do not care. I will work a bit on it tonight and then tomorrow voila I will show everyone. Maybe I will bring my camera and…. no I will not do that, never mind.I skated for two hours this morning at the Cabin John syrup rink. It was okay. The ice is always excellent. It was a “public” session instead of an adult session… there were 4 people on the ice, so that was not too shabby.
Okay. I am done.
I have a zillion things to do now.So sick it’s funny quote:

Podunk? Ha! You should have taken a side trip through Sperryville if you want to see Podunk. And you could have met Cooter too!
That’s awesome you met a fellow Xangan. I’ve met four so far and it’s been a great experience. My first meeting I drove all the way down to Roanoke. Cool town.
Val looks sooooo good! Think she lost a lot of weight since she was here in June! Too bad she didn’t have her friend, Sue, with her. Sue is a lot of fun, too. Will look forward to her pics of YOU now!!
what is her site name? I juess I will just click on the Val above. The photos are nice and glad ya’ll had fun. You know I like old places with history.
You are really good at art stetching -i would be intiminated if the other folks are as you as you. You have inspired me to take somemore classes.
Wow. How nice that you got together with Val. I am going riding one day and pick up all my blogger friends and we will go somewhere and just hang out. Or upside down.
So much fun to meet Xanga friends. I’ve met 5 so far, and all were a great treat, and SOOOO nice. Love your descriptions of things. You make me giggle.
She looks like a real doll! How wonderful that you had such a wonderful meeting. I hope you have many, many more…after all, you owe her lunch now. heeheee..
Finish that picture you naughty girl.
That’s very exciting stuff! But I felt guilty ’cause I know my blog is WAY more exciting that I am.
We better never meet ’cause you’d be disappointed.
Val looks very wonderful and very fun. I’d love to see your artwork.
finally rained here today too.
(and yup, xangans are a lot of fun.)
I think I look very proper Brit standing there next to the queen. I will show off my pics of you tomorrow. I am dead beat tiiiiired now – but very happy to be back home. Back to my boring normal life. You are the first person to tell me my life is boring! I guess you mean my blog. Not my life. If I wrote about all my exitement every day people would just get so jealous!!!! I’m so glad we got to meet and now we’re “real life” friends too!
I would love to meet Val. I can’t wait to see her pictures of you!
I am aware of Val’s great love for shopping. I wonder where she gets that from??
Glad you girls had such a great time. Xangites(Xangians?) are the greatest!
I have posted pictures on my site. Beware!
Love that quote. I think you should take the camera to art class and show us everybody’s work.
I never have used minis. Dunno what’s up with those. Let me try it now.
Huh….that was pretty painless. Did you enjoy that mini?
I don’t think I’ve ever actually met a Xangan, but I have talked to many many of them. I’m glad you two had such a fun day.
Now, get off the computer and get that picture finished! I want to see it.
ok, first off – - your drawing is inspirational! i’m about to embark on a new artistic attempt at expression and i’m drawing (hehe) from all sources my eyes can take in!
also, isn’t it fun to meet up with xangans?!?
and lastly, i’ll use your question in my comments today as fodder for another blog post, if anything will get me going, that’s a good place to start! ha!
