  • 28K to have dinner… perhaps touch the Messiah’s Robe

    How is every little thing?

    Here, très good.

I love my sunflowers this year

I did some rearranging in the back yard… took the big pricky floofy tree out of the big garden and put the little red maple in there. Planted the big pricky floofy tree along the property line.

    gave Prinnie her fluids.

Tomorrow, I think I will skate.

  • Okay today is Sundee and I think I should up date this bloggie.

Elizabeth is at William and Mary now.
The past two years she attended Messiah College. She loved this college, it was small, intimate and everyone was wonderful.
it was a private college and everything was spickkkk and Spannnn. It was a very sparkly college.
Blizkin made A++++++’s at that college. she is a very dedicated and hardworking student.
Last year she decided to change her major and pursue International Relations and European Studies.

Messiah College was 99 miles driving north and took about one hour and forty five minutes to drive there. It was a beautiful drive up route 15, over the bridge and on through Maryland and then over to Grantham, Pennsylvania.
William and Mary is 3 hours away and a hundred and fifty bazzillion miles south east in Williamsburg, Virginia.
We have to drive on three major highways full of nutty people on their cell phones to get there.
It is a college for very smart people. It is very olde and crusty. Thomas Jefferson’s skin cells are scattered around the campus, mixed in with the molds and seeds and mildews and greenish slippery stuff on the bricks which make you slip and break your neck if you do not walk with care.

So, that is the only interesting thing going on in my life right now.
I had a very lazy summer and my gardens show it. No fancy exotic plants,
    just
    zinnias
    ,

     various breeds of sunflowers
    and nasturtium in every flavor.

Pierro and Prinnie are doing wonnnnderful. Princess is such an adorable olde kitty. I sure do love her. She is almost 17 and a half years olde.
Pierro is doing well. He is such a good little kitty. He will be one year old on September 23rd.
Remember, I adopted him when he was 6 months old.

Hubby had eye surgery, that is not going so well, but hopefully in the next few weeks things will improve.
I am doing okay. I am going to a new blood.oncology doc at the end of September. A woman. I hope that works out okay.
I will let you know. I am preparing my self for many tests x-rays and other horrible stuff, so I should not dwell on that too much.

I will end here. I need a snack
    Be well.

Experience is not what happens to you,
it is what you do with what happens to you.

  • Hoo boy, remember me?
Well. Life has been quite busy. Mostly good but some annoying things.
Hubby had eye surgery on his right eye for cataract. He also has glaucoma (many years now) and this condition has caused some complications.
So, that has been frustrating for him. I am here to keep him from going postal.

Verizon has a company in the n-hood that is digging up the yards around here… man they really trashed our lawn.
Hubby and I (mostly hubby) worked on the yard for three days getting all of the boulders and fist size rocks out of the grass. Verizon came by and they were fuming mad. Someone is coming by tomorrow to fix our lawn. I was going to skate… but I can not. Hubby has an eye appointment so I need to hang around here.

Last Thursday Beeniebelle and I drove Lizzie and her stuff in Beenie’s car (Chevy Malibu Maxx (used car), her graduation gift, yes she finally got her license and she is a fantastic driver). We had a blast moving her in, then I came home exhausted. Blizzie is at William and Mary now, in W-burg. She is loving it. She is enjoying being at a college with a bunch of nerds like her

I have not been skating in over two months. Ooops.
I am planning on skating maybe on Friday… maybe.

I am going to go for a walk soon.
Presently we are watching the DNC convention on FOX news. Ohblahblah ’08 – not.
Surprisingly, if Hillary were the nominee and actually won the election I would not be so worried, but sorry, Obomination is not “the one”
    hide your pennies people
Okay, I will be quiet now

Life is good here. No complaints.
I hope everything is superb with all of you.
I should blog more often. When I come to xangaland I read your bloggs but I do not comment… no time and quite often Pierro is napping on my chair so I can not even plop my butt down.

If you do not care where you are going
any road will get you there.

July 26, 2008

  • hello.
I am presently typing this blog with this ridiculous boy

    sitting on my left arm.

I hope everyone is doing terrifical.
shoooosh I have been really busy.
I just recovered from some virus thing that gave me a constant headache for about 5 days.
    I am much better, finally.

I baked a peach pie yesterday.
    It turned out so yummy.

this morning I took Princess to the doc for her 6 month check up and also because she was scratching her ear.
She hates going to the vet. When Caesar was alive I used to take them together and she used to hide in the back part of the prison box (carrier) and Caesar would sit bravely in the front, protecting her. Now she must go on alone. I am taking good care of her. She is 17 now.

Skating, I have not been skating. The rink does not have any convenient sessions available so no skating for me.
This is okay, I have been busy enough and I hate summer heat, so I hang around the house a lot.

Blizkin has been playing at the hotel and enjoying it.
    sorry this is so fuzzy

There are all sorts of exciting things going on here.
I am missing xanga but I just doooo not have time.

My mom and dad are doing okay, still doing quite well. We have been visiting them frequently.

I think I will go shopping tomorrow.
    Love to all of you

July 9, 2008

  • Well happy day.
I skated on Monday and this morning. Ugh. I had a rough time getting up I am such a lazy girl.
Last night we went to eat dinner at the Hyatt Regency. It was free, the whole meal. Blizzie plays there now so we get free food.
Anyhow, we went there last night, Christabelle met us and it was all four of us eating dinners, cool huh? What a great time and we ate too much…
Well, I did. I had crabbbb cakes and they were very huge and good and yuummyyy too. Shoosh I was realllly full.
All of the hotel people recognised Blizkin and said hello to her.
So, then we came home and I was feeling soooo hyper and full that we went for a walk. then when we came home I was incredibly sleepy and took a shower. Oh man I was exhausted and really I did hardly anything yesterday all day… watered my gardens and just pretty much goofed off.
This morning I was supposed to wake up at 7:00 and be out of the house at 9 to leave for the rink. I woke up at 8:10, oh no… really.
Hubby has been getting up at 6 and leaving the house for meetings in Arlington so he is not around in the early morning downstairs clumping around just making a lot of noise.
Hoo boy, so I had to snarf breakfast, jump in the shower and get perky and get dressed and fly out of here. Good thing Blizzie was home, she did all of the morning slave duties such as scooping the litter boxes and other stuff like that.
I made it to the rink okay and after I got my boots on, I realized I did not have my jacket, I also did not find my phone anywhere in my bag.
wow, what a flake. so I had to skate in a little frippy shirt and it was very very very cold. This was the dance session and there were only about 6 people.
It was quite good but my hands were really cold and my  brrrrr my arms were chilly too. I suffered and skated for two hours, then I left.
Jim brought his dance CD so that was nice. I can not do any ice dances I do not know if I can do this… I think I can.
If I decide to take some lessons, it would probably be with Dimitri and in the Fall. Alexi is a terrific guy but he already has a zillion students.
So, I am home now and now I am finally boiling hot

Every day it is something with Pierro, Monday I spent a half hour cleaning up glass….
Today, this morning as I was rushing around, I came into the family room and noticed Pierro got his head stuck under the couch,
he was pulling and tugging. I had to lift the couch up a bit to set him free.
Now he likes to go to Princess and knock her out of where ever she is sleeping. This is very bad and he needs to cut that out.

Here are a few pics and then really I must get going here.  and invent something for dinners
I will try to do some random visiting this evening

    here is Pierro McSkunkersons

He loves this toy. We call it the dingfeather

here he is “helping” me clean out the pantry after I discovered a leaking can of some sugary drink

Oh I have bundles more. i think I have more photos of the kitties than of anything else… okay maybe not.
Here are three more and then I have to run off.

    Pierro and Prinnie

playing the carpet game in hubby’s office

helping Blizzie with her arm exercises
oh yeah and that is the couch he got his head stuck under!

I hope you are doing well.

and I will tell you who you are

July 2, 2008

  • Just a quickerifical uppiedate.
I went to the rink today. I have not skated in a month.
I have gotten moderately crumbly and sloppy… *sigh* oh well
I had a really good time. I skate in Maryland and it takes me 30 minutes to get there and the gaaaassss is expensive here $4.05 or something.
I skated the dance session (didn’t think they would let me in but they were very nice and even slightly happy to see me)
I loved it. $10 for two hours on the ice. Not bad… it all adds up though.
I am really pooped now. I love skating 10 to 12 too. They day isn’t shot when I get out of the rink.

I will put up some cutie pictures soon, and tell you all aobut Pierro and how Prinnie is doing, and Blizzie’s gig tomorrow night (send good vibes)
and we went to see my mum and dad yesterday… shooosh, been busy.
My mom had the cateract surgery last week on one eye and it looked kind of bad yesterday, so we called the eye doc.
They are doing well. I love spending time with my parents. They need me.

I am almost feeling like taking up ice dancing…. seriously. sort of. really. I think.
I could do that. It would be hard, and I could might be crummy

We moved Christabelle into her own apartment domicile this past week-end. Yay. I will just say that I am very happy.
She has her own car, her own place and she is on fire.
It is a great feeling when your kids are on fire don’t you agree?

I must end here because I hafta go.
I am going to visit your bloggies soon.
meantime… have a wonderful July week! and 4th of. HEY what are your plans for the Holiday?

    Saying you represent change
     does not mean anything
     to people who have studied
even a modest amount of US history.

  • Guess what?
    Blizzie got the gig.
She starts playing the piano in some fancy hotel in Herndon next week.

She also found out (on Facebook) her room mate for this fall.
Her room mate seems very very wonderful. They have similar interests.

Blizzie is transfering to William and Mary. Christina went to this college and graduated from it.

It is a college for over achievers to be sure.
Anyway, she learned that she did get in a dorm on campus (rare for transfer students)

Anyway, Bliz is in this crusty olde dorm with no a/c but she will get a window unit installed… that dorm is very crusty.
    yikes bloo tile.

Well, the location on campus is perfect.
She is right in the middle of everything… and in this crumbly dorm
(I believe Thomas Jefferson was in this dorm 200 years ago) she will get the FULL olde crusty experience

I mean it, I am going to start blogging regularly some day soon.
I have been reading your blogs but not commenting.
    Sorry.

Hubby and I went to a wake on Sunday. A sweet wonderful artistic friend of ours died of Pancreatic Cancer. I hate cancer.
If I could I would shoot cancer, I would kick cancer and I would push the cancer right off the bridge.
I have a lovely pastel creation she made about 20 years ago. I bought it from her way back when and I could barely afford it.

This week-end Christabelle moves into her very own apartment and my house looks like a warehouse. That is okay.

OH! Blizzie and I went to this fantastical retirement community called, um…. Potomac Green.
It is a really nice neighborhood. The yards are kind of small but man they had this recreation center that was just unbelievable.
2 pools, loads of exercise equipment, and an indooooor walking/running track.
The only thing missing is the ice rink……
Just so you know… my hubby is almost 55.
Okay, well we cannot sell this house now, and I am not ready to move into another house anyway.

Oooooh next time I will put up more pictures of Little Pierro. He is such a good kitty. I mean it, he was heaven sent.
Princess gets annoyed with him, he reallllly likes to play and Prinnie is not interested in wrestling anymore.

    I do still miss Caesar.
I think I will miss him forever.

    Last thought.
Tomorrow is my parents 61st Wedding Anniversary.
I do not know when we am going over there next…. now Bliz has a job on Monday at the library, so maybe next Toozdeee.

I hope all of you are very happy and doing well.
If you are not doing well, please tell me, otherwise I am shuffling around here thinking all is dandy in everyone’s world.

    The greatest wealth is health.

  • um…
    *waves*

    Hi… heh, remember me?

Well, I have been super busy and well… hmmm just not being on xanga.
why post stuff if I do not have time to read your bloggies regularly, much less comment.
I think about all of you.
I really do miss you. realllly.

Stuff is good here. every thing. It is all just lovely.
I am breathing. Hubby is breathing.
We can still move our arms and legs
Blizzie is transferring to William and Mary.
She is looking for work this summer as a pianist.

Christabelle is moving to her own place in less than two week.
    A really cute apartment.
I am nuts with happiness about this.

Pierro the new kitten is adorable and wonderful, like my Caesar back again.
Princess is doing okay, she is 17 now.

I am painting the deck again

This stuff is heavy duty. It should last a billion yearrs.

I hope every one is doing well.
Tell me what’s going on in your world.
    Too much going on here.

    Love, moi

    HOPE
is not a course of action.”

April 19, 2008

  • Quick schmupdate:
We had a neighborhood yard sale today… every one just puts stuff out and sells their junk at their own property.
Well, I hate yard sales but Christabelle and I decided to sell some stuff.
Blizzie and hubby went to William and Mary today for some transfer student wingding thing.

So, I made, so far a whopping $2.
    Oh well.

I will call my friends at Purple Heart and have them pick up the shelves, the plastic drawers, the bar stools and the cat tree.
    What ever.
Now I remember why I hate yard sales.
I mean I priced the stuff so cheap, any cheaper and I would be paying people to take the stuff!

    Oh one other thing.
I got a new trimmer. Black and Decker. Battery.
It is not Pink like I demanded but I guess orange is o kaaaaay.

I will try to blog some day soon.
Sorry, life is annoyingly busy and my ADHD is worse than ever… I mean I am considering drugs, seriously.
My family is making fun of me…. it is that bad

    I hope you are happy.
    I am happy.

Hfta run now and do a zillion things.

    Oh jeeps I totally forgot.
Look at this cool frog… toad thing napping on my chair in the front!
click to biggify and you can see his leggies all tucked in. oooh how kyoot

    Isn’t this cool?
I swears when I furst saw it I thought it was a rock
and then I yelled “hey Christabelle, come and look at this, quick quick quick”
Well, that was early this morning and he is stillll there.

    Resisting temptation
is usually just a matter of

    putting it off
    until nobody is looking

yeah well no one is home
so maybe I will get rid of those
    pesky cookies in the pantry
